Add/Edit Withholding Tables


This screen was designed to enter withholding tax tables into the payroll system. This option is found on the Tax Tables sub-menu. For every payroll code entered as type "T" through "Add/Edit Payroll Codes", there must be a table built in this screen.

Example: AZ15 = Arizona 15% withholding.

TABLE CODE

Enter the table code or ??? to display existing codes.

Examples: AZ15 = ARIZONA TAX TABLE 15  FEDERAL = FEDERAL TAX TABLE

This field allows fifteen (15) characters of alphabetic, numeric, or both. To create a new table, you must enter the data through "Add/Edit Payroll Codes" first.

PAY FREQUENCY

Enter the pay frequency type. Choose from W=Weekly, B=Bi-weekly, M=Monthly, or S=Semi-monthly.

MARITAL STATUS

Enter an "S" for single, "M" for married, "U" for Unmarried, Head of Household, or "E", exempt.

DEDUCTION ALLOWANCE

Enter the deduction allowance amount. This only applies to certain states.

EXEMPTION ALLOWANCE

Enter the amount for one exemption allowance.

SUBROUTINE

Enter the sub-routine name. This field will be entered by a Programmer, or with assistance of a Programmer. This field will contain the name of a sub-routine which would be used for calculating this table. Enter ??? to display a list of sub-routines.

LOWER LIMIT

Enter the lower limit of this bracket, which is usually zero. This is a numeric field.

UPPER LIMIT

Enter the upper limit of this bracket. This is a numeric field.

BASE AMOUNT

Enter the base amount. This is a numeric field.

PERCENT OF EXCESS

Enter the percentage of excess over the lower limit.
